TECHNICAL DETAILS

A DMR webcam used to be located at McKown Pt, N43° 50.632' W69° 38.409'  with its optic axis bearing  090(M), towards "G9", the Boothbay Harbor  entry marker (see chart image below).
Brown's camera is located at N43° 50.689' W69° 37.561'  with its optic axis sweeping the entire harbor. 
Lloydcam usually employs one of a number of remote controlled XCam2 mini-security cameras from X10.com mounted outside (impacted by rain, snow etc).Sometimes a tripod mounted Sony camcorder is used for special events or to obtain improved image quality (behind a glass window which is exposed to weather). Transmission is over 2.4GHz analog RF links to an analog video to DV converter.  Radio frequency noise from nearby microwave ovens, boat radar and WiFi often impact video transmission. Static, non weather related, image aberations are typically the result of refections.The
Lloydcam harbor view camera is located at N43° 50.611' W69° 37.597' (see chart image below) with its optic axis bearing 0340 (M) towards the Boothbay Harbor entry marker [G"9" flashing green  (4s)]. G"9" is seen in the Snapdragon II  and Bounty photo above. G "9" is ~0.2nm from the camera . Streaming video is provided via DSL to the net from a PC operating Windows 7x64 with  a  BroadCam Streaming Video Server by NCH Software.. The Lloydcam website uses a combination of Flash, Java and JavaScript. This particular video streaming capability was last revised in November 2009 and changed to Flash A/V for improved performance over Microsoft Windows Media Player 12 which is provided with Windows 7. The DMR camera shown in the chart image below seems to have been out of service for several years. It was located at McKown Pt, N43° 50.632' W69° 38.409'  with its optic axis bearing  090(M) , again towards "G9", the Boothbay Harbor  entry marker (see chart image below).
